CYNTHIA WRIGHT AUTHORS “PRIVATE COURTS KEEP DISPUTES CONFIDENTIAL”

Boyd Collar Nolen & Tuggle partner Cynthia Wright authored a Viewpoint column article titled, “Private Courts Keep Disputes Confidential,” in the March 13-19 edition of the Atlanta Business Chronicle. Wright, the former Fulton County Superior Court chief judge, in the article makes a case that in an open courtroom sensitive corporate or personal information is potentially made vulnerable.

“The privacy and reputation of litigants who want to keep their ‘dirty laundry’ out of the public eye is easily attainable in the private courtroom,” she writes. “In the private courtroom, in addition to scheduling and logistics, the parties can agree on any number of rules to maximize the efficiency of the process and reduce cost.” For more information, the full article is available to subscribers here.
