Jordan E. Whitaker Associate
Jordan Whitaker received her juris doctor from Georgia State University College of Law, where she obtained experience in oral advocacy through her participation on the law school’s Moot Court Team. Jordan competed twice in the Phillip C. Jessup International Moot Court Competition and received fifth best oralist among roughly 70 competitors in the Southeastern Regional Competition. Jordan was also a pupil in the Charles L. Weltner Family Law Inn of Court and was a recipient of the Custer-Tuggle Award for Excellence in Family Law from the Georgia Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.
Jordan has always been passionate about using her legal education and expertise to assist the underserved and those who are unable to afford legal services. Under Georgia’s Student Practice Act, she advocated for victims of domestic violence while volunteering for two semesters at the Safe Families Office of the Atlanta Volunteers Lawyers Foundation and she has previously interned in the Family Law Division of Atlanta Legal Aid Society. Prior to joining Boyd Collar Nolen Tuggle & Roddenbery as an associate, Jordan was the firm’s 2016 spring intern. She also externed for the Honorable Reuben Green of the Superior Court of Cobb County.
Jordan received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and English Literature from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. While studying at Miami University, Jordan was a member of the Alpha Chapter of the Delta Zeta sorority. Originally from Dayton, Ohio, Jordan now resides in West Midtown and enjoys hiking and cooking in her free time.
