Family Law’s Growing Impact on All Practice Areas

The Atlanta Lawyer By Jonathan Tuggle March 2013 – The Atlanta Lawyer published an article in its March 2013 edition written by Boyd Collar Nolen Tuggle & Roddenbery partner Jonathan Tuggle. Titled “Family Law’s Growing Impact on All Practice Areas,” the piece discusses the importance of family law on other legal practices – including bankruptcy, real estate, tax and estate planning, criminal law, intellectual property and international/immigration. Tuggle notes that recent family law developments over the past decade attribute to the practice’s growth. Due in part to Georgia Supreme Court’s Pilot Project and Georgia Legislature’s adoption of new statutory guidelines for determining child support and apportioning each parent’s financial responsibility, practitioners from all areas should familiarize themselves with changing family laws.
