Boyd Collar Nolen & Tuggle attorney Kevin Rubin authored an article titled “When Family Law, Forensics Analysis and an iPad Mix,” in the March 17 issue of the Daily Report.

In the article, Rubin creates a hypothetical scenario in which a divorcing husband seeks personal information from his estranged wife’s iPad in an effort to prove infidelity. In the scenario, however, the wife, “a senior executive at a major beverage company in Atlanta,” also has used her iPad to store personal emails to her therapist, as well as the company’s secret formula to its famous beverage.

Rubin outlines the issues that should be addressed in an order entered to facilitate forensic analysis of the iPad, including analysis, dissemination and protection, and protection of privileges and trade secrets.
